I have a small assortment of Renault engines/accessories for the Lotus and I’m not quite sure what to do with them. Obviously the simplest thing would be to scrap them, but I’m sure that someone out there could really use these so I’m pretty agianst that. I don’t know how rare these are (uncommon at least) but there is also not much demand for them. Renault owners club of NA seem to be focused on rear engined renaults and Alliances, so that’s not helpful. Locally all i see is general “Euro” places, focusing more on german makes. I’m looking for a Renault/French shop/yard in the Ohio valley/TN but i’m sure that any remaining Renault places would be in the northeast. Any leads?

Sell for scrap and put an LS in it?

What engines? I remember looking at a Renault Alpine A110 in Germany that someone upgraded the engine from it’s stock 1970 spec 1600cc motor to a newer motor from a Clio. Made that Alpine wicked fast, and made me drool even more. I always said one day I want to bring an Alpine to the US and do the same upgrade. Some how I doubt you have a Clio motor, since you are talking Lotus.

I'd suggest running an add on some Renault web sites. If you do not get any interest... unfortunately it pains me to say but scrap it.

If they’re PRV-era kit you may have some Volvo and DeLorean owners also interested.

Since you are looking to get rid of them in the Tennessee area the Lane Motor Museum outside of Nashville may have a few cars to maintain or restore that could use them, also since they go in the back of a Lotus maybe it could go in the back of an R10.

go suck an exhaust pipe. If anything else is going in the back it’s a pair of angry doritos.

Hmmm. PRV = V6. No ideas for you. Sorry.

Hmmm the 843 motor could be interesting, it was used in the Alpines and if my memory is not too cloudy I think it was in some later cars. Would likely need to think about if that really is a good choice though since it is not my planned route. Too bad your not selling the Gordini motor, although not familiar with the 817 designation, just know Gordini motors are good (not that much of an expert on Renault motors so no surprise I have not heard of an 817) . Unfortunately I doubt I have the money for it at the moment especially since I do not have a car for it to go into, and I always have to hold onto every penny through the winter. But if you still have it in the spring I might be interested, and been talking about a trip to TN so could work out.

There are definitely some Fuego folks in the Renault US Club. You could post to their Facebook page. Unfortunately, they won’t fit in my Le Car.
